The Caucus: Senate defers work
on Post Office overhaul
March 28, 2012 -- The New York Times covered the Senate's failure on Tuesday to gain enough votes to proceed to debate on S. 1789, the flawed 21st Century Postal Reform Act, and quoted NALC President Fredric Rolando. “We hope senators will now use this extra time to carefully analyze the service’s financial problems, so that when the Senate resumes consideration of the bill, it will be prepared to work on real reform designed to strengthen the agency, not dismantle it,” Rolando said.
President Rolando was a guest on Thom Hartmann's "The Big Picture" television program on Monday.
