Effective January 1, 2007, First Health adopted the name of its parent company, Coventry Health Care. While the company name is changing, you will have access to the same PPO network and use the same toll-free numbers to call with questions. Your new identification card now displays the Coventry Health Care logo.
Our preferred provider
organization (PPO) for all medical and hospital care provides you
with one of the largest directly contracted national networks, anywhere.
You have a personal choice when you select a hospital or provider.
When you choose to use
a network hospital or a board-certified/eligible provider, you are
entitled to:
- A higher benefit,
generally with less coinsurance costs to you
- PPO negotiated rates,
reduced out-of-pocket, predetermined costs
- A nationwide network
of over 4,663 hospitals and 555,000 physicians, specialists, laboratories,
radiology and ambulatory centers
- 47 Adult and 25 Pediatric
National Transplant Centers that are selected for their specialty
and excellence
- A $20 copayment per
office or outpatient visit with no deductible
