NALC's Director of Safety and Health, Brian Hellman continues to follow developments on Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in this country and around the world making sure that the union is up-to-date on any possible impact of the disease on the health and safety of letter carriers.

Hellman advises concerned NALC branch leaders and carriers to get the most accurate available information from authoritative medical authorities including such resources as the Center for Disease Control, the World Health Organization and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). These organizations update their websites frequently with the latest information and developments.
