George Anna was elected secretary of the NALCA at the 2014 Convention in Philadelphia. She had severed as assistant secretary since 2012. She joined Kansas City, MO Auxiliary 4 in 2002 after coming to that year’s convention in Philadelphia with her active letter carrier, NALC Kansas City Branch 30 Treasurer Terry Myers, who was a delegate to that year’s NALC Convention, also in Philadelphia. In 2003, George Anna was elected president of her local auxiliary. In 2004, she was elected president of the Missouri State Auxiliary. George Anna and the other officers of her local auxiliary have worked hard to raise the membership of that local each year since she has been president. She is very active in legislative work on both local and state levels, updating e-Activist Network e-mail addresses, telephone banking, marching, helping her local branch with MDA fundraisers, and doing anything she can to support letter carriers and their families.
