Pencil or pen, all votes will be counted

Ballots and instructions for the 2014 NALC national officer election were mailed Sept. 29-30. Ballots were sent to a total of 265,914 members who are eligible to vote.

According to the instructions mailed with each ballot, members should use pencil to indicate their choices for the contested national office. But please note that ballots filled out in ink will still be counted. Therefore, members who mistakenly used a pen to fill out their ballots should not request a replacement ballot.

Members are urged to vote early. Completed ballots must be received and deposited in the Greenbelt, MD, post office box set up for the election by 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, to be counted.
