In the March issue of The American Legion Magazine, New York City Branch 36 member Juan Feliciano was featured in a story about letter carriers who are also military veterans. The organization’s 2.4 million members, who receive the magazine, learned not only about Feliciano, an Army veteran who served in Vietnam, but also a great deal about the Postal Service, the key role that an increase in package deliveries is playing in USPS’ recovery, and how pre-funding has been an “albatross” around the Postal Service’s neck. The story included quotes from NALC President Fredric Rolando, NALC Community and Membership Outreach Coordinator Pam Donato (herself an Army veteran), as well as other Branch 36 members.
