Travel Advisory

Hawaii has a very sensitive ecosystem with numerous endangered species. Several restrictions are in place to regulate what travelers can bring to and take from the island. Before arrival on the island, travelers will need to fill out the Agricultural Declaration Form distributed aboard your flight in which you must declare all plants, seeds, animals and any other agricultural materials you are bringing in. This also includes travel snacks such as whole fruits or nuts.  The Tourist Bureau will also have a few questions, example of one: (Address or Hotel Name where you will be staying).  A blue or black ink pen will be need.

Return flights to the U.S. Mainland: Prior to your return flight, all baggage will be subject to pre-flight inspection by the U. S. Department of Agriculture. Restrictions on the movement of fruits, plants, live snails, and other items from Hawaii to the Mainland are enforced to prevent the spread of fruit flies and other hazardous plant insects and diseases. Be prepared to open and close your baggage and parcels for x-ray machine inspection.
