Remembering the day the mail stopped

With bargaining underway for a new national agreement between NALC and USPS, we take a moment to remember the legacy of the Great Postal Strike of 1970 on its 46th anniversary, and we say “thank you” to the men and women who put their jobs on the line to protect themselves and the carriers who followed in their footsteps.

The video below was created to commemorate the strike’s 40th anniversary in 2010. It was premiered at the NALC convention that summer in Anaheim, CA.
