Today, a bipartisan majority of support was reached for House Resolution 54 (H. Res. 54), which expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that the United States Postal Service should take all appropriate measures to ensure the continuation of its six-day mail delivery service.
Introduced by Reps. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Sam Graves (R-MO) on January 16, 2019 the resolution is now at 218 cosponsors (163 Democrat, 55 Republican), officially hitting the minimum threshold of 218 to reach a majority in the House. For reference, this same resolution had 258 cosponsors (185 Democrat, 73 Republican) in the 115th Congress.
Thanks to the hard work of letter carriers across the country, this is the second of our priority resolutions to reach a majority. This is a critically important goal to hit each Congress as it indicates to the Postal Service that cuts to delivery frequency are not supported on Capitol Hill and mail delivery should continue at least six days a week.
As letter carriers are aware, there is still a lot of work to do. We need to continue to rack up as many cosponsors as possible for each of our priority resolutions, regardless of a majority of support or not.

Res. 54, or H. Res. 60, and if your Senators are cosponsors of S. Res. 99 before reaching out and asking them for their support.
