Political action committees (PACs) have become important tools that advocacy organizations can use to help elect candidates they support. In NALC’s case, those candidates are the ones who promise to defend letter carriers and the U.S. Postal Service against increasing threats to slash services and privatize the organization. You just can’t play in politics without a PAC.
It’s no surprise, then, that the postal community—including private delivery service companies—is spending millions of dollars trying to get their preferred candidates elected.
