Postal banking

On Oct. 29, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) released an updated version of its National Survey of Unbanked and Underbanked Households.

According to the report, 16.7 million adults and 8.7 million children in the United States live in households that are unbanked, and 50.9 million adults and 16.6 million children live in households that are underbanked.

That comes to nearly 100 million people in the USA who are either unbanked or underbanked.
